A UK man, Callum Feehan, 25, was astonished to find a metal screw in his KFC meal purchased from their Canterbury Street branch in Gillingham, according to Metro. Feehan recounted that upon consuming a handful of chips at home, he felt a metallic object in his mouth, revealing it to be a fried screw. He emphasized that he could’ve injured a tooth had he bitten it.
Feehan communicated with KFC via a platform called X. However; they only acknowledged his message when he intimated taking the matter to Environmental Health. He expressed dissatisfaction with their response time and lack of responsibility.
He remarked, “I routinely visit that KFC. Although I’ve faced minor issues before, their lack of concern over a foreign object in my food is alarming, especially since I’m a regular.”
A KFC representative stated, “Our stringent processes aim to eliminate the possibility of foreign contaminants in our food. We treat such complaints gravely and assure a prompt investigation. We’re liaising with Callum to update him.”
