Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday has confirmed that officials of the London Metropolitan Police will interrogate the key murder suspects of Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Imran Farooq.

Nisar  also confirmed that government is in touch with the British government through diplomatic means and Pakistan has informed them about the arrest of suspects.

Briefing about the arrest of Mohsin and Khalid, Nisar daid “Moazzam Ali Khan was arrested by Rangers in Karachi two months back while two accused Mohsin Ali and Khalid Shamim were arrested by Frontier Constabulary near Quetta,”.

He also said that the investigation of case has nothing to do with MQM.

“MQM has repeatedly said that they want to see the culprits in the court of law. The case is registered in London so kite flying on the issue should be avoided,” Nisar said.

He said that the next plan of action is to bring all the three accused to Islamabad so that they can be investigated by a team of London Metropolitan Police.

“The request of London police was pending since more than a year,” Nisar said.

Referring to the money-laundering case of Ayyan Ali, Nisar  said “The case is of very high importance for us. It is important to know that where the money came from and who was behind it,” Interior Minister said.

Nisar said he is scheduled to have an important meeting with Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar to discuss the latest developments in Ayyan Ali case.
