Following revelations from the “Dubai Unlocked” project regarding property ownership by global elites in Dubai, UAE embassies in the United Kingdom and Norway have reaffirmed their commitment to protecting the global financial system.
The UAE embassies emphasized the country’s dedication to maintaining the integrity of international finance. They stated, “The country takes its role in protecting the integrity of the global financial system extremely seriously.”
Despite detailed inquiries, UAE officials from the ministries of interior, economy, and justice, as well as Dubai Police, remained unresponsive.
The embassies also highlighted ongoing efforts to combat illicit finance. They declared, “The UAE is committed to continuing these efforts and actions more than ever today and over the longer term.”

The response follows the exposure of many properties owned by the global elite in Dubai, which were unveiled on Tuesday. The data covers 2020 to 2022 and detailed property ownership and usage, excluding those owned by companies or in commercial zones.
The exposed list includes globally sanctioned individuals, drug lords, political figures, alleged money launderers, and criminals. Among those identified are Pakistanis, whose properties are valued at approximately $11 billion.
The data, revealed by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project’s “Dubai Unlocked” project, also shows properties in upscale Dubai areas owned by over a dozen retired military officials and their families, along with bankers and bureaucrats.
