Former British heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury has relocated from mainland Britain to the Isle of Man. This move follows the UK Chancellor’s November budget, which introduced higher taxes for high earners. Fury, with an estimated wealth of £160 million, now lives in the self-governing British Crown Dependency.
The 37-year-old boxer, his wife Paris, and their seven children have settled in a six-bedroom home near the island’s capital, Douglas. Previously, the family resided in Morecambe, Lancashire.
A source close to Fury confirmed the move to The Sun. “Tyson is very fond of the island and has been telling pals that he has moved there,” the source stated. Additionally, the couple is reportedly evaluating local schools for their younger children.
Now Tyson Fury has bailed out of high-tax Britain & moved to Isle of Man.

The relocation is widely seen as a financial decision. The UK government’s recent budget introduced a mansion tax on properties valued over £2 million. Furthermore, it increased the top income tax rate to 45% for earnings above £125,140.
The Isle of Man offers a significantly lower tax burden. Specifically, its maximum income tax rate is 21%, compared to 40% on the mainland for high earners.

Crucially, the island imposes no capital gains or inheritance taxes. This provides substantial long-term financial benefits for high-net-worth individuals like Fury.
Fury announced his retirement from boxing in January. However, his future remains unclear following a recent call-out from rival Anthony Joshua. It is uncertain if the tax-related move will influence a potential return to the ring.
