According to a press release issued by the military’s media affairs wing, an improvised explosive device blast in the Spinwam area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district resulted in the martyrdom of two soldiers.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that the blast claimed the lives of Sepoy Gul Rauf, a 29-year-old resident of Lakki Marwat, and Sepoy Abid Ullahm, a 23-year-old resident of Karak district.
To eliminate any terrorists present in the area, sanitization operations are being conducted, as stated in the press release.
The statement further emphasized that the armed forces of Pakistan are relentless in their commitment to eradicating the menace of terrorism, and the sacrifices made by our courageous soldiers only strengthen this determination.
In recent events, an exchange of fire in the Spinwam area resulted in elimination of one terrorist and injuries to two others.
Furthermore, during a gun battle in Miranshah, North Waziristan, three terrorists were killed, and four others were injured between the night of June 9 and June 10. Tragically, three soldiers also attained martyrdom during the exchange of fire.
