Two more new polio cases surfaced in Karachi, taking the total number of patients suffering from the crippling disease to 14.
A 10-month-old boy, Umar, resident of Gadap Town, was found inflicted with polio, while a girl Hajra from Orangi Town was also reported suffering with the disease.
Officials have confirmed polio symptoms in both the minor children. Polio vaccinators often come under attack by miscreants in areas including Gadap and Manghopir which is considered a haven of criminal elements.
The total number of polio cases in the country has reached 158 as of now.
