Police eliminated two gangsters during a search operation in different areas of Lyari late yesterday night.
SSP City Fida Hussain said police carried out a search operation in Kalri and Napier localities on the information about the presence of miscreants.
During the operation, Naqeeb alias Mama and Mustafa were killed. They belong to the Baba Ladla and Uzair Baloch groups, respectively.
Fida Hussain went on to say that the accused were involved in murder, hand grenade attacks and extortion.
Meanwhile, police also arrested six accused, including Lyari gangster Anees and Yasir alias Mama, from various areas of the port city.
