Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested two FIA immigration agents for issuing a Toronto airline passenger an unauthorized boarding ticket.
Two FIA immigration agents were detained for helping a traveler get a bogus boarding pass to Canada.
The FIA spokesperson said Kamran and Waheed accepted an Rs2.5 million bribe from an Afghan citizen arrested during the final check of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight 783 to Toronto on January 8.
The official stated that the traveler contracted with Rawalpindi travel brokers Ilyas and Usman. As a result, the authorities raided travel agents to arrest them.
The passport circle officers arrested the immigration officials, took the traveler to the departure lounge without checking at the immigration station, and issued bogus boarding passes.
The FIA apprehended and charged Rehmatullah and his brother.
