Two Elite Force personnel were martyred earlier today as unidentified gunmen opened fire on them in Rashid Garhi area within the limits of Yakatoot police station.
The victims were identified as Farhan and Shahzeb. Police said both the victims belong to Mardan.
Police said armed men attacked the personnel when they were heading to the police station.
The assailants managed to flee taking advantage of dense fog.
The bodies have shifted to Lady Reading Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Police inspected the crime scene and kicked off investigation.
