After the release of 19 TTP prisoners (from the list of 800 prisoners) the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has extended the ceasefire for an indefinite period.
A member of the TTP negotiation committee Yousuf Shah stated that the TTP Shura has unanimously decided to hold the ceasefire so that peace negotiations can endure until consensus is reached
He further added that the Taliban are bound to honour their agreement with the government, but it was also essential for the latter to implement TTP’s demands it accepted during the earlier meeting.
