The truth about claims that PTI founder Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, was present at D-Chowk late at night during the November 24 protest has now been clarified.
Reports have confirmed that the assertion of her presence around 12:30 a.m. was inaccurate, as timelines and ground realities do not support this claim.
On the evening in question, Bushra Bibi, accompanied by PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur, was last seen near the NADRA Office at 8:30 p.m., having left Kulsoom Plaza earlier. Subsequently, the leadership was notably absent from D-Chowk, confusing the workers.
It was reported that Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin departed D-Chowk together in the same vehicle. By 11:30 p.m., only party workers remained while the leadership had dispersed. Surveillance footage later captured a vehicle swap involving Bushra Bibi at 11:57 PM. Shortly after this, authorities began to clear D-Chowk, which was evacuated within ten minutes.

Additionally, the suggestion that Bushra Bibi was left alone at D-Chowk has been debunked. Reports verified that Ali Amin escorted her from the area and accompanied her to Mansehra.
On December 6, while addressing workers in Charsadda, the former First Lady spoke about the events of November 24. Bushra Bibi described feeling isolated during a pivotal moment at D-Chowk, asserting, “I am not someone who runs away.” She disclosed that at 12:30 AM, she found herself alone in her car, unnoticed, as the area was being cleared. “People were forcibly clearing D-Chowk, but I stayed because the founder hadn’t asked us to leave,” she explained.
Bushra Bibi emphasized her situation, saying, “I told everyone not to leave me alone, but I was still left alone,” and noted that several PTI leaders could corroborate her story.
