President Donald Trump’s new global tariffs could significantly increase iPhone prices. Analysts anticipate a 30% to 40% rise if Apple decides to pass the costs on to consumers.

With China, where most iPhones are manufactured, facing a 54% tariff, the tech giant faces a difficult decision: absorb the costs or increase prices.

The iPhone 16 starts at $799, and Rosenblatt Securities estimates that a 43% price increase could raise it to $1,142. The premium iPhone 16 Pro Max, currently priced at $1,599, could nearly reach $2,300.

Other Apple products are also at risk of price hikes: watches may increase by 43%, iPads by 42%, and AirPods and Macs by 39%. Apple might offset its $39.5 billion tariff bill by increasing prices.

The news about tariffs shook Wall Street. Apple’s stock fell 9.3% on Thursday, marking its most significant decline since March 2020. With sales exceeding 220 million iPhones yearly, the company’s main markets, the U.S., China, and Europe, could be impacted.

Will consumers be reluctant to buy more expensive devices, or will Apple opt to cover the increased costs? The stakes are high as tariffs continue to reshape global commerce.
