Billionaire Elon Musk recently shared an AI-generated video of himself and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump grooving to the Bee Gees’ hit “Stayin’ Alive.” Musk humorously captioned the post, “Do we have great moves or what?”
The video, originally shared by Utah Senator Mike Lee, has quickly gone viral, amassing over 6.5 million views and more than 3,500 retweets. Reactions varied, with some users enjoying the humor, while others pointed out the potential pitfalls of AI.
This video comes just days after Trump and Musk discussed the 2024 U.S. presidential elections, Vice President Kamala Harris, and climate change on Musk’s platform X. The live stream, anticipated by many, faced delays due to a DDOS attack and technical issues, drawing in over 1.3 million viewers.
Musk reiterated his support for Trump, who is facing Vice President Kamala Harris, a rising Democratic contender. Trump reflected on his past policies, including his administration’s stance on Iran, and announced plans to build an Iron Dome defense system similar to Israel’s.
After the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack, Trump was banned from Twitter (now X). He launched his own platform, Truth Social, in February 2022. Months later, in November 2022, Musk acquired Twitter and reinstated Trump’s account, @realDonaldTrump.
The relationship between Musk and Trump has evolved over the years, with both figures exchanging online jabs in the past. Last month, Musk endorsed Trump following an attempt on the former president’s life, further highlighting their complex dynamic.
