Tristan Thompson, a 32-year-old basketball player, faces a 25-game suspension without pay for breaching the NBA’s anti-drug policy.
NBA announced Tristan Thompson’s suspension on January 23, starting January 24, during the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Milwaukee Bucks game. He tested positive for Ibutamoren and SARM LGD-4033, substances known for artificially enhancing physical performance. Ibutamoren increases Human Growth Hormone levels, while Ligandrol, another name for SARM LGD-4033, aids in muscle building and endurance enhancement. Both are prohibited in sports due to their harmful effects.
Thompson, yet to comment, joined the Cavaliers in 2011 and won a championship in 2016. He’s played for several teams and returned to the Cavaliers for the 2023-2024 season.
Notably, he’s been in the news for his relationship with Khloé Kardashian. They started dating in 2016, had ups and downs, including cheating scandals, and share two children. Despite challenges, Kardashian supported Thompson, emphasizing family importance in a 2023 Kardashians episode. Thompson expressed gratitude to the Kardashians for their support.
