In an unfortunate incident, a 50-year-old man named Bagar Sai from Surajpur district in Chhattisgarh lost his life, fulfilling a personal vow. He had pledged to sacrifice a goat at a local temple if his wish came true, unaware that this act would result in a fatal outcome.
Joined by his neighbours from Madanpur village, Bagar Sai journeyed to Khopa Dham on Sunday to carry out the ritual. Following the sacrificial ceremony, the villagers prepared a communal meal with the goat’s meat.
In the midst of his enthusiasm, Bagar Sai accidentally picked up the goat’s eye from the cooked meal, oblivious to the impending tragedy.
In a tragic twist of fate, as Bagar Sai attempted to ingest the goat’s eye, it got stuck in his throat, leading him to choke.
Desperate to save his life, he was immediately transported to the district hospital. Regrettably, despite the quick response, Bagar Sai could not survive the choking incident and passed away.
