A devastating car accident in Karachi led to two people’s deaths, including a woman, while another person sustained injuries.
According to rescue sources, the deadly incident occurred when a speeding car overturned in the Defense Housing Authority (DHA) Phase-8, a significant residential area in the city.
The victims were promptly identified as Sheena and Ali Raza, with Zohaib named as the injured survivor. Following the accident, the bodies of the deceased were rushed to the hospital alongside Zohaib, who received immediate medical attention.
This unfortunate event recalls a similar accident on November 7 last year, wherein a car veered off the road and fell into a ditch near Karachi’s Super Highway. The incident occurred within a private housing society and resulted in the tragic loss of five people, including three women and a child.
Despite the grave injuries suffered by the passengers, rescue officials and police promptly responded to the accident. The injured individuals were swiftly transported to the nearest hospital in an attempt to save their lives.
The recurrence of these accidents underscores the crucial need for better traffic regulation and safe driving practices in the bustling city of Karachi.
