Karachi traffic police has banned the entry of heavy traffic at Karachi’s Shahrah-e-Faisal has completely been banned from 7:00 a.m to 11:00 p.m.
The city traffic police have taken action to make Shahrah-e-Faisal gridlock-free and decided to ban movement of heavy traffic with effect from Monday (today).
DIG Traffic Ameer Shaikh directed the traffic police to ensure strict implementation of orders to ban heavy traffic from 7am to 11pm.
The ban had been imposed for the convenience of the citizens and make the artery traffic congestion-free.
Earlier, DIG Traffic Karachi had suspended last week the ban on rickshaws for a month to travel on Shahrah-e-Faisal.
Traffic police spokesman said the heavy goods vehicles can ply on the main thoroughfare only at the night timings.
