Timothée Chalamet paid tribute to his longtime partner, Kylie Jenner, after winning Best Actor at the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday night.
Chalamet earned the award for his performance as aspiring ping-pong champion Marty Mauser in Marty Supreme. During his acceptance speech, he thanked Jenner, with whom he has shared a relationship for three years.
“Thank you to my partner for three years. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you,” he said. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
The actor also acknowledged the strength of the Best Actor category. His fellow nominees included Leonardo DiCaprio for One Battle After Another, Joel Edgerton for Train Dreams, Ethan Hawke for Blue Moon, Michael B. Jordan for Sinners, and Wagner Moura for The Secret Agent.

After a brief pause, Chalamet admitted he was nervous. “I’m more nervous than I thought I’d be,” he said. He then praised filmmaker Josh Safdie, who co-wrote and directed Marty Supreme. Chalamet credited Safdie for telling a grounded story without moralising.
“You made a story about a flawed man with a relatable dream,” he said. “You didn’t tell the audience what’s right or wrong. We should tell more stories like that.”

Earlier in the evening, Hacks stars Meg Stalter and Paul W. Downs drew attention on the red carpet. They wore matching bright orange vinyl outfits inspired by Jenner and Chalamet’s looks at the film’s premiere.
