Sindh Energy Minister Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh revealed that the Thar coal power plant is generating an additional 1320 MW of electricity for the national grid.
Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh stated the Shanghai Electric power plant started its trial run today. Engro and Hubco power stations contributed 660 MW.
According to Sindh’s energy minister, 2640 MW of electricity will be supplied from Thar coal to the National Grid soon.
Thar would change Pakistan’s face; it was Benazir Bhutto’s desire.
Murtaza Wahab said the PPP wants to improve Pakistan, and the Thar coal power project will lower electricity rates.
