A report on the Karachi airport attack, which was presented to Prime Minister Sharif earlier today, revealed that terrorists wanted to destroy all the aircraft present at the airport.
It also disclosed that terrorists had entered the airport from two separate locations.
Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj Gen Asim Bajwa said the airport had been fully cleared.
He said the control of the airport had been handed over to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
Meanwhile, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Nawaz on Aviation Shujaat Azeem said the Karachi airport would be made operational at 4 pm today.
He moreover said that security was heightened at all the airports.
