In a covert operation just after 3 a.m. on Tuesday, plainclothes officers stormed the Parliament House, cut the power, and entered the Services Branch to detain the PTI legislators. This action sparked a significant uproar in the National Assembly, prompting Sadiq to suspend five security staff for four months and reassign five Capital Development Authority officials responsible for the power outage during the raid.

A four-member committee led by Additional Secretary Iftikhar Ahmad has been established to address security breaches and unauthorized activities in parliament.

Sadiq had previously issued production orders for the detained MNAs, including Sher Afzal Marwat (NA-41), Malik Amir Dogar (NA-49), and others. The Islamabad police, under tight security, brought them to the NA today.
