Taylor Swift set a new record at the Grammys with her Album of the Year win, the highest in the awards’ history.
Contrary to Swiftie’s anticipation of “Reputation: Taylor’s Version,” Swift unveiled a surprise. During her acceptance speech for Best Pop Vocal Album, she revealed the upcoming release of an entirely new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” a project she had concealed for two years.
At 34, Swift secured her 13th GRAMMY on Sunday evening. She announced that “The Tortured Poets Department” would be available on April 19.
Swift took to Instagram shortly after, posting a black-and-white image of herself among pillows. The photo quickly amassed over 7 million likes within the first hour.
Her caption, “All’s fair in love and poetry,” accompanied the post, hinting at the album’s thematic essence.
