Taylor Swift has contributed $100,000 to support the relatives of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a mother tragically killed during the celebration of the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade.
As confirmed by The Post, following Lopez-Galvan’s death, a GoFundMe campaign was launched, to which the acclaimed singer contributed two donations of $50,000 each on Friday, expressing her deepest sympathies for the family’s profound loss.
The fundraising effort, initiated on Thursday afternoon, aimed for a $75,000 target. Despite her three-concert stint in Melbourne, Australia—part of a seven-show tour Down Under—Swift made the donations coinciding with her Friday performance time.
Lopez-Galvan, a community radio DJ and mother of two, was amongst the crowd celebrating the Chiefs’ victory when gunfire erupted, leading to her fatal injury near Union Station’s west side as reported by her brother, Beto Lopez, to The Kansas City Star.
The incident resulted in 22 additional injuries, encompassing nine children. Reports indicate that Lopez-Galvan’s adult son sustained a gunshot wound, and a minor cousin also incurred injuries amid the turmoil.
Residing in Shawnee, an hour southeast of the incident location, Lopez-Galvan contributed to KKFI as a DJ and co-hosted “Tejano Tuesday,” celebrating Hispanic music.
