In a pivotal move within Pakistan’s sports administration, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has appointed Tariq Bugti as the new president of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF). The Pakistan Sports Board confirmed this decision, which follows the resignation of the former president, Brigadier (Retired) Mohammad Khalid Sajjad Khokhar.
The Prime Minister, utilizing his authority as the Patron-in-Chief of the PHF, endorsed Tariq Hussain Masoori Bugti for this significant role. This nomination underlines the government’s commitment to steering the federation towards its goals under new leadership.

Shoaib Khoso, the director general of the PSB, further validated this appointment. Khoso confirmed the issuance of the notification concerning Bugti’s nomination as the PHF president. “We have issued a notification in this regard,” stated Khoso, indicating the formal endorsement of Tariq Bugti’s new position.
