Suzuki Motor Corporation has initiated vehicle exports to Afghanistan and Bangladesh, marking a significant step in expanding its global footprint.
The announcement came during Federal Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain’s visit to the Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited in Karachi, where he also inaugurated the vendor cluster area plant.
Key figures attended this event, including EDB CEO Khuda Bakhsh, Federal Secretary of Industries and Production Saif Anjum, Pak Suzuki’s Managing Director and CEO Hiroshi Kawamura, and other dignitaries. Shafiq Ahmed Sheikh, Head of Corporate Affairs at Pak Suzuki, expressed his gratitude to all attendees during his welcome address.
CEO Hiroshi Kawamura spotlighted Pak Suzuki’s achievements, noting the company’s milestone of producing 2.5 million vehicles and its new venture into the markets of Bangladesh and Afghanistan. He praised the collective efforts of employees, dealers, suppliers, and supportive government policies that have facilitated this success.
Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain applauded Pak Suzuki for its production achievements and for maintaining competitive prices and superior quality compared to regional competitors. He highlighted the company’s crucial role in enhancing Pakistan’s economic development through vehicle exports.
Further emphasizing the importance of international exposure, Minister Hussain advocated for showcasing Suzuki products more broadly to bolster export activities. His remarks also extended to Indus Motor Company’s recent advancements in vehicle production and exports from their facility at Port Qasim Authority, underscoring the government’s dedication to promoting the automotive sector and encouraging vehicle exports as a whole.
