Javed Hashmi, suspended president of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, said Tuesday Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Jahangir Tareen were illegally elected as office bearers of the PTI.

Talking to media after submitting his nomination papers for NA-149 election, due on Oct 16, he said intra-party elections of both the office bearers were illegal as per the PTI’s constitution.

“Only I and Imran Khan were elected constitutionally,” he said, adding both Qureshi and Tareen have ruined the party.

Hashmi submitted his nomination papers as an independent candidate.

He said that he has not received any show-cause notice up till now, adding if he was called by Imran Khan he would go to meet him.
