The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday sought answers from Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Najam Sethi and Inter-Provincial Coordination Secretary over contempt of court petition. Notices have also been issued to six members of the management committee.

A three-member bench presided by Justice Anwar Zaheer heard the petition against reinstatement of former PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf. During the hearing, a petition was filed against Najam Sethi accusing him of contempt of court by saying that Chairman PCB had hid many important facts and documents from the court.

Court summoned answer from Najam Sethi, Inter-Provincial Coordination Secretary and six members of the management committee over contempt of court.

The court allowed Zaka Ashraf to become party to the petition against his reinstatement.

The court adjourned the hearing, upon request of defense councils, for two weeks and ordered not to take any action against the suspended workers.
