Saqiba, 18, a student of Muslim Bagh girls college committed suicide in Quetta after her college principal refused to forward her examination form.
She had allegedly failed to submit it by due date.
In a short video message Saqiba emphasised on importance of female education in Balochistan. She also expressed the difficulties are facing the female student in the province for education.
Aziz ullah, brother of Saqiba, while talking to local news channels alleged that the principal of the Muslim Bagh girls college was against Saqiba, who protested against him as he didn’t allow the male teachers to teach in the female section. He also alleged that the principal refused to forward her examination form as she failed to submit it by due date.
Spokesman Balochistan Govt. Anwar ul Haq talking to media said that chief minister has taken the notice and advised chief commissioner to present the report on 24 hours.
Around 90% of girls in rural Balochistan are deprived of schooling. Except for provincial capital Quetta, educational institutions are non-existent in Baloch-dominated areas of the province. Most neglected parts of the province where Baloch girls are not educated are Buleda (Makran), Kharan , Bolan and Marri and Bugti tribal areas.
