Karachi law enforcement authorities reported the arrest of a suspect from Lahore, accused of committing multiple robberies in Karachi.
During the interrogation, the alleged robber, Shehryar Ghori, confessed to his crimes, revealing startling details about his operations. He also disclosed personal aspects, including his separation from his wife, and claimed that his son studies in the USA and his daughter attends a medical college in Lahore.
Authorities discovered that Ghori had stolen a police uniform to bypass checkpoints and had purchased a firearm in Peshawar.
Ghori admitted to executing over 30 robberies targeting food chains and medical stores across Karachi. He described a pattern of committing a series of robberies in Karachi before escaping to Lahore to avoid police capture.
The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) noted that Ghori had a criminal history, including a conviction for the murder of an Assistant Sub-Inspector in 2008, for which he served a life sentence.
Ghori returned to Karachi to commit more robberies without funds before fleeing to Lahore. While in Karachi, he committed daily robberies targeting individuals.
