Islamabad – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said that the government was taking steps for the development of Balochistan to improve the living standard of its people.
Talking to Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Balochistan President and senior Minister Sanaullah Zehri here at the PM House, the prime minister said that the government’s topmost priority was to bring a qualitative change in the life of the people of Balochistan, a statement from PM house said. The prime minister said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor would open new avenues and increase job opportunities for the people of Balochistan. The political situation in the country and organisational matters of PML-N also came under discussion during the meeting. The prime minister asked Zehri to keep close contact with party workers and consult them on all party matters.
He said that workers are a great asset and pride for the party and the PML-N leadership acknowledges their innumerable sacrifices for the cause of democracy and for upholding of rule of law in Pakistan. Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique and Political Secretary Dr Asif Kirmani were also present during the meeting.
