The State Bank of Pakistan has maintained the discount rate at 5.75% .
The State Bank of Pakistan Governor Tariq Bajwa on Saturday announced to unchanged the discount rate following a meeting of SBP’s Monetary Policy Committee members.
The new Governor SBP, while addressing media said that economy is undergoing expansion and the service sector has grown by 6%, while there has been a significant improvement on the construction front.
Bajwa also added that the rate of inflation is expected to rise to 5.5% from 4.5%.
