Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rafat Bukhari of the Punjab Police in Pakistan has been honoured with the International Association of Women Police’s Excellence in Performance Award.
The Women Police’s Excellence in Performance Award is a prestigious annual award to one female police officer worldwide to recognise her exceptional service to her community.
SSP Bukhari, stationed at the Punjab Safe Cities Authority, has earned accolades for her substantial contributions in several key areas. Her work includes enhancing women’s protection, utilizing artificial intelligence for criminal apprehension, developing intelligent traffic management systems, and implementing road safety mechanisms.
Debra Friedl, President of the International Association of Women Police, congratulated SSP Bukhari on her selection and acknowledged her impact on a global scale. Dr. Usman Anwar, IG of Punjab Police, also expressed pride in SSP Bukhari’s accomplishments, citing her as an inspiration for all police officers, particularly women.
The Managing Director of the Safe Cities Authority additionally congratulated SSP Bukhari. She is slated to receive her award at the 61st Annual Conference of the International Association of Women Police, which will take place in Chicago, USA, this September.
