On April 9, 2025, Spotify experienced a global outage that left thousands of users in the UK, US, and other countries unable to stream music for approximately one hour.
The issue began at 10:00 BST and resulted in over 7,500 reports from users in the UK and nearly 4,000 in the US. Users reported problems such as app crashes, website issues, and difficulties with video streaming.
Frustrated fans took to X to express concerns about issues like black screens, login failures, and loading errors. Spotify’s support team (@username_1) responded on the platform, confirming that the problems had been resolved and thanking users for their patience.
