The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that South Africa’s men’s cricket team will tour Pakistan for the first time in over four years, starting October 12, 2025.
The tour includes two Test matches, three ODIs, and three T20Is. A South African delegation is currently in Pakistan to check arrangements, and the PCB is awaiting final approval for the proposed schedule.
The first Test match will take place from October 12 to 16 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The second Test will run from October 20 to 24 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The One-Day International (ODI) series begins on October 28 in Rawalpindi. The team will play two more ODIs on October 31 and November 2 at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad. These matches mark Faisalabad’s return to international cricket after a long break.
The Twenty20 International (T20I) matches will start on November 5 in Multan, pending confirmation. Additional T20Is will occur on November 8 and 9 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
The Multan venue is uncertain, as the South African delegation did not visit the city. Dates and venues may change after discussions between the PCB and Cricket South Africa.

Women’s Team Tour and Past Visits
The South African women’s team will also play three T20Is in Pakistan this month. South Africa last toured Pakistan in January–February 2021, led by Quinton de Kock and Heinrich Klaasen, losing both Tests and the T20I series 2–1. Earlier this year, South Africa fell to New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy semi-final in March 2025.
In May 2025, the PCB planned two T20Is against Bangladesh in Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium, marking its return to international cricket after 17 years. However, due to Pakistan Super League (PSL) scheduling conflicts, the series was moved to Lahore. The upcoming ODIs could finally bring international cricket back to Faisalabad
