Snapchat unveils new features to enhance user interaction and offer more personalized experiences.
New Snapchat Features include a range of AI-powered tools, which are gradually being introduced. Not all features will be available immediately to everyone; some are exclusive to Snapchat+ subscribers.
Snapchat announced these updates in a recent newsroom post. The company highlighted that Snapchatters produce over 5 billion Snaps daily. The new features aim to streamline connections and introduce novel ways to express oneself.
Editable Chats is one of the new tools. It allows users to modify sent messages within five minutes. Like WhatsApp’s editing option, this feature is limited to Snapchat+ subscribers.
Emoji Reactions will enable users to react to messages using any emoji, expanding beyond the current Bitmoji-only reactions.
My AI Reminders is another new feature. Users can quickly set reminders by messaging My AI with the event’s name, date, and time. My AI then begins an in-app countdown, alerting users when the event approaches.
Snap Map Enhancements include the ability to react to friends’ locations with emojis, adding a fun, interactive element to the map.
Snapchat has also introduced two novel AI features. The AI-powered Bitmoji outfit generator lets users describe a desired outfit, and the AI suggests similar clothing options. This tool allows for customized patterns, colours, and designs.
The second edition, the ’90s AI Lens, was launched recently. It automatically applies creative, 90s-themed effects to images, enhancing them with a nostalgic vibe.
