Lieutenant General (Retired) Faiz Hameed has appointed senior lawyer Mian Ali Ashfaq as his defence attorney for his upcoming military trial.
Formally charged, Lieutenant General Hameed is now set to face a Field General Court Martial under the Pakistan Army Act. The proceedings have been initiated based on multiple allegations outlined by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The charges against the former Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence include involvement in political activities, breaches of the Official Secrets Act that allegedly compromised state security and interests, misuse of authority, misappropriation of official resources, and causing undue harm to individuals.
