The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts sizzling weather for the port city over the next two to three days.
The Met Office announced that conditions are expected to be “hot to very hot and dry” in the coming days. It noted that hot and dry winds would blow from the northwest in Karachi.
Today, Karachi saw temperatures reach a maximum of 39°C.
The Met Office’s statement indicated that while most of the country will experience mainly dry weather, rain and thunderstorms could occur in Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.
A westerly wave currently affects the western and upper regions of the country.
Looking ahead to next week, the forecast predicts primarily hot and dry conditions across most plains. However, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan might see partly cloudy skies with possible rain and thunderstorms.
The PMD also highlighted that rain and thunderstorms are likely at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
