A major wheat scandal has emerged in Sindh after authorities discovered that 64,000 sacks of wheat were missing from the Bolhari warehouse in Jamshoro district.
Officials said the missing stock came to light during an official review of storage records at the Bolhari facility. The Anti-Corruption Department in Jamshoro has registered a case against three warehouse employees and launched a formal investigation.
At the same time, officials within the Sindh Food Department have begun accusing each other of corruption linked to the missing wheat.
Investigators have accused former warehouse in-charge Ali Raza Brohi of demanding bribes. Deputy Director of Food Qamar-ud-Din Memon also faces allegations of seeking millions of rupees in illegal payments.
