Sharjeel Memon, Sindh’s Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Transport, Mass Transit, Excise, and Taxation, has unveiled plans for new transport initiatives in Sindh, including Karachi, post-Eidul Fitr.
On X, Memon shared, “Good news for the people of Sindh. Under the direction of Chairman @BBhuttoZardari, Transport Department is going to start new transport projects in Sindh right after Eid Holidays”
He detailed the launch of the Pink Bus Service’s second phase for women in Karachi post-Eid.
Additionally, Karachi will see new EV bus routes, and Mirpurkhas will welcome the People’s Bus Service.
Memon mentioned a free shuttle service connecting Orange Line BRT to Green Line BRT in Karachi, aiming to facilitate local commuting after Eid.
Last month, he discussed the BRT Yellow Line project, mentioning a groundbreaking post-Eid and the reconstruction of Jam Sadiq Bridge in Korangi.
Furthermore, Memon teased the acquisition of 500 buses soon to expand the People’s Bus Service fleet.
