The system may also trigger isolated hailstorms in northern Balochistan, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan, and in Punjab’s Dera Ghazi Khan. Authorities warned that hail could damage crops and weak structures.
In southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, light to moderate rain and thunderstorms are expected in Waziristan, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan and Kurram. Similarly, parts of southern Punjab, including Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bhakkar, Layyah and Bahawalpur, may receive isolated light rain or drizzle accompanied by strong winds.
Advisory for Farmers and Public
The PMD has urged farmers to take precautionary steps to protect standing crops from possible hail and strong winds. In addition, residents have been advised to remain cautious during dust storms and heavy showers.
People should avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather and follow official updates from the Met Office. Sudden wind gusts can reduce visibility and create hazardous road conditions.
The weather department emphasised that such systems can intensify quickly. Therefore, staying informed through official announcements remains essential.
While rainfall may provide relief in some areas, the possibility of hailstorms and strong winds requires vigilance. Authorities continue to monitor the developing system and will issue further updates if conditions change.
