In Sindh, the brother of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s provincial minister, Jam Ikramullah, allegedly assaulted bank staff and coerced them into apologizing by holding his feet.
The incident reportedly occurred in Ghotki, where Zafarullah Dharejo, brother of Sindh Minister Jam Ikramullah Dharejo and a local feudal lord, allegedly summoned the bank staff to his residence and subjected them to physical abuse.
Media reports indicate that Zafarullah Dharejo not only assaulted the bank staff but also the former branch manager of the bank.
Former bank manager Khadim Hussain provided further details, stating that Zafarullah Dharejo extended an invitation to reconcile the matter at his residence. Upon the bank staff’s arrival at his bungalow, they were not only abused but also forced to apologize by holding his feet.
Khadim Hussain mentioned that the issue stemmed from a financial transaction with a local trader, and Zafarullah Dharejo had filed three cases against them.
Khadim Hussain has urged the IG Sindh and the Chief Justice to take notice of this incident and ensure justice is served.
