Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar inaugurated a significant digital initiative in Sindh to enhance government service delivery. This initiative introduces a unified digital platform to reduce human interaction in government processes.
The initiative includes five key e-services: e-Services Sindh Mobile App, e-Registration, e-Mutation, e-Pay Sindh, and the Industrial Estate Management System (IEMS). These services promise transparency, accountability, and swift case resolution within seven working days, marking a shift from manual to electronic governance.
Details of the Transformative E-Services
- e-Services Sindh Mobile App: Initially available in two departments, this app is set to expand across all government departments. The Sindh cabinet recently integrated its legal framework into the Rules of Business.
- E-Registration for ‘Registered Sale Deeds’: This service simplifies the process of registering sale deeds, allowing online applications, payments, and appointments for biometric verification.
- E-Mutation: Designed for updating land rights records, e-Mutation facilitates easy online changes post-registration, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- E-Pay Sindh: This feature lets citizens make all government payments online, streamlining tax and fee transactions.
- Industrial Estate Management System (IEMS): IEMS offers a centralized platform for managing industrial estates, enhancing operational efficiency.
Impact and Services of e-Services Sindh
E-Services Sindh is a game-changer for Sindh’s residents, making government services more accessible, efficient, and transparent. The e-Services Sindh App offers various online services, including Domicile Certificates, Mutation of Record of Rights, Heirship Certificate Issuance, and more.
Additionally, the app allows for online complaints and grievances against revenue field offices, ensuring greater transparency and accountability. To enhance service efficiency, the Board of Revenue (BoR) has set a strict seven-day turnaround time for all applications, with Pakistan Post delivering documents within 24 hours of issuance.
