Sindh’s Health Minister, Azra Pechuho, reported that 140 confirmed positive cases of Chikungunya from the PCR tests conducted this year.
In a discussion with the media, Pechuho noted improvements in the malaria situation in Sindh this year.
The minister revealed that Lyari General Nursing Hospital admissions were based on fraudulent domiciles. “We plan to scrutinize these fake domiciles,” she stated.
Pechuho mentioned objections to establishing a milk bank in Korangi. “We discussed these concerns with the Chairman of NADRA, who highlighted some regulatory issues,” she said.
According to Pechuho, the federal cabinet can modify these regulations. “We have reached out to the prime minister regarding this matter,” she informed.
“There are currently legislative issues within the federal government. Once resolved, we will see changes to the rules and regulations,” Pechuho explained.
She added, “We have consulted with the Council of Islamic Ideology on this issue.”
