The Sindh Education Department has finalised the winter vacation schedule, as announced by the provincial Steering Committee on Thursday.
All public and private educational institutions in Sindh will observe their annual break. Schools and colleges will remain closed from December 22 to December 31, 2025.
A department spokesperson confirmed the official dates. “All educational institutions will reopen on January 1,” the spokesperson added. This provides students and staff with a 10-day winter holiday. The schedule ensures a consistent break across the entire province.

The spokesperson also clarified an important academic detail. Supplementary examinations conducted by education boards will continue as scheduled. These exams will not be affected or postponed due to the winter vacation. Students must follow their pre-announced board examination timetables.
This announcement follows a similar decision by the Punjab government. Punjab recently declared its winter vacation schedule for all schools. That province’s holidays will run from December 22, 2025, to January 10, 2026.

According to Punjab’s official notification, all schools will reopen on January 10. This marks the restart of the academic term for the province. The Sindh schedule is shorter but aligns with the break start date.
