The Sindh government raised the minimum basic salary to Rs37,000 and increased the salaries of provincial government employees by 30%.

A cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah endorsed the budget for the next fiscal year. The approved budget includes a notable 30 percent increase in government employees’ salaries.

Additionally, the Sindh government will boost pensions by 15 percent and has set the minimum wage at Rs37,000. It’s worth noting that the Centre and Punjab have implemented salary raises of up to 25 percent. Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has increased wages by 10 percent, although they are reconsidering this amount.

Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, Advisor to the Chief Minister for Information, previously stated that the provincial government was prepared to implement a 25 percent salary increase, which aligns with the federal budget’s proposal.
