The Sindh government has declared December 25 a public holiday in all government offices to celebrate Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s birth anniversary. Christian employees will also enjoy a Christmas holiday on December 26.
The nation enthusiastically and devotionally celebrates the birth anniversary of Pakistan’s founder. The commemoration begins with gun salutes in federal and provincial capitals and is followed by a dignified change-of-guard ceremony at Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum in Karachi.
Official ceremonies and events throughout the country will honour Quaid’s life, political struggles, and pivotal role in founding Pakistan. Various social, political, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) will also host special programs to honour his legacy.
