The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed the monthly salaries of the national cricket team players, highlighting substantial increases across various categories.
Media sources report that Category A players receive Rs4.5 million monthly, whereas Category B players earn Rs3 million. The recent PCB contracts show a 202% salary hike for Category A players and 144% for Category B players. Based on performance assessments, players in categories C and D also saw 135% and 127% increases, respectively. These adjustments were part of the new contracts announced last September.
Top cricketers such as Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Muhammad Rizwan fall into Category A and earn Rs4.5 million monthly. Category B features Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah, whose salaries reach Rs 3 million.
Salaries for Category C and D players vary from Rs750,000 to Rs1.5 million. Imad Wasim is in Category C, while Iftikhar Ahmed, Hasan Ali, and Saim Ayub are in Category D.
Additionally, players benefit from fixed match fees and awards across all formats, enhancing their total compensation.
