On Wednesday, the government announced a price reduction for different ghee and cooking oil brands at utility stores.
According to the notification, the price for various brands of Banaspati ghee at utility stores has been slashed. The cost has decreased from Rs 585 to Rs 517 per kg, a reduction of Rs 68 per kg.
Similarly, the cost of one liter of cooking oil at utility stores has dropped from Rs 610 to Rs 517, a notable decline of Rs 93 per liter. This price reduction makes cooking oil more accessible to consumers.
As stated in the notification, the new prices for cooking oil and banaspati ghee will take effect immediately, without delay.
