The Education Boards have announced a notable increase in admission fees for the annual Intermediate examinations for FA (Faculty of Arts) and FSC (Faculty of Science), set to commence on April 22, 2025. This change affects both regular and private students, requiring the online submission of admission fees alongside the admission form. The steep increase has sparked concerns and disappointment among students and their families.

Revised Fee Structure

Private StudentsScience & Arts (with practical)5,8307,6309,430
Arts (no practical)5,7307,4309,130
Regular StudentsScience & Arts (with practical)4,7306,4308,130
Arts (no practical)4,6306,2307,830

Additional Fees

  • Registration Fee: An additional Rs1,000 will be charged to all students.

Admission Submission Deadlines

  • Single Fee: Last date is January 24, 2025.
  • Double Fee: From January 25 to February 3, 2025.
  • Triple Fee: From February 4 to February 12, 2025.
  • Late Submission: Triple fee plus a daily fine of Rs500 up to 10 days before the exams.

Opposition to Fee Hike Abrar Ahmed Khan, President of the All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association (APPSMA), has vocally opposed the fee hike, calling for a revision. He highlighted that the recent increase in matriculation fees had already strained students financially, and this further rise for FA examinations is excessive. Khan also expressed concerns that this could particularly deter private and female students from participating in the intermediate exams.
