Police spokespersons confirmed the FIR against five named suspects and 8-10 unidentified individuals. The accused received interim bail, but three have been arrested. Authorities highlighted the disrespect to the cemetery and hurt religious sentiments as key concerns. Raids continue to apprehend the remaining suspects.
The cemetery oath incident raises questions about alternative dispute resolution practices in rural areas. While aimed at quick settlement, such methods can violate laws and cultural norms. The police action underscores the need for legal channels to handle disputes, ensuring justice and respect for community values.
